Voiceover recordings at the dubbing studio of Interaudio Tonstudio GmbH - march 16th, '10
For the movie The Final Fax I recorded some dubbings at the Interaudio Tonstudio GmbH. The movie is a thesis by Birke Birkner, who produced this movie in cooperation with Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, Bayerischer Rundfunk, Südwestdeutscher Rundfunk and Arte. Babelsberg Filmstudios and Alexandre Desplat - february 17th, '10
The 60th Berlinale brought Golden Globe winner Alexandre Desplat to Berlin. As part of an excursion to the filmstudios in Potsdam Babelsberg the composer gave a talk on composing and scoring for film. That Desplat knows what he is talking about, shows his filmography, which is filled with various internationally successful movies. One of his recent works include The Ghost Writer by Roman Polanski, which was in fact dubbed at Interaudio Berlin, the Sound Studio where I work as a freelance rerecording engineer these days. Another highlight was the visit of the scoring stage of the filmorchestra Potsdam Babelsberg, which got prepared for a recording session for The Boss Hoss, a country cover band. Last but not least a demonstration of rerecording mixer Martin Steyer at the filmacademy Potsdam Babelsberg HFF made the day complete. A day with quite interesting events and with even more interesting participants I met along with the tour.
Relaunch of the website - february 11th, '10

Redesign of florianessig.de - january 19th, '10
Unfortunately, the last months were pretty busy, that's why www.florianessig.de is still waiting to be relaunched. These days I work some more on the new design of www.florainessig.de, which will be launched in a preversion on feb 11th - right in time for this years Berlinale. New features and further functionality will be provided in the following months. In the meantime you can subscribe to the quarter-yearly newsletter or contact me by email as usual.
